Halloween Celebrations

Similar to St. Lawrence, Halloween is definitely not a one day event here in Bermuda.  On Friday, the official day of celebration, the REUs and Fall students spent the evening in Hamilton!

It was a great success, "DJ Pharaoh" won many prizes for their unique costume.  Steve (the DJ), Gabe (Turn table #1) and Sean (Turn table #2), would just start playing right in front of the band....and everyone, including us, thought it was hilarious.

The following day, we had the annual underwater pumpkin carving contest!  Michael, Gabe, Chloe and I all got to dive together for the first time.  Unfortunately, the Quad couldn't find any pumpkins last minute...So Gabe and Michael Carved an orange, and Chloe and I carved a watermelon!

We had a 45 minute dive limit to finish our creation, which left lots of time to make our shark beautiful.

Chloe prepping the mellon.

Note: The water visibility is incredibly low because we were right off of the BIOS dock, which is very silty.

All of the pumpkins came up to the surface looking awesome.

Later that night, Team Zissou convened in their official attire.
It was a perfect night on Campus...
Everyone was still ready to celebrate Halloween (round two)!
