København

Copenhagen is the friendliest place I have ever been. It was SOOO nice to see Sarah and meet her host family (who are also super friendly) and the city is beautiful. Everyone speaks English, which was a shock after two months of mostly French. We also got to see some SLU girls who were visiting Copenhagen at the end of their vacation before heading back to Prague, our next destination!

Also I'm just gonna put it out there: EasyJet is a bait and switch enterprise. We made friends in the boarding line, after some McGyvered carry-on arrangements, with British woman and her son (even though she was speaking perfect, if angry, french to the check-in woman) after she was forced to empty the contents of her purse (and her son's little
backpack!!!) into her and her son's carry ons or pay an extra bag fine worth more than the plane ticket itself. Not to say we didn't enjoy the flight from Paris to Copenhagen, but our flight on Czech air was such a breeze!!

Copenhagen was so nice though!! everyone was sososso friendly, and the design of the city is beautiful!

We visited the little mermaid, of course, and I was actually surprised by how big she was after being told by so many people to expect a tiny sculpture.
And then I got this snapchat from Joe - Hamilton was having its own version of wet hot american summer in good old Clinton, New York. Except taht there is nothing summery about upstate New York in late October so, HA, Hamilton. It looked like they had a fantastic time though and it made me almost as homesick for SLU as seeing some fellow SLUzers did!

How freaking cute is Denmark though?!?

Lisbeth, Sarah's amazingly friendly host mother, had us for dinner both nights we were there, which was always delicious and which she never failed to capture.

Also flødeboller is my new favorite thing.

Hope to see Copenhagen again soon!!
