It all began three weeks ago when my mama cita came to visit me!!!!
We spent the weekend playing in the water (which has dropped to a balmy 78 degrees)...
exploring the aquarium....
and I became friends with a Great Barracuda!
All in all, it was a perfect weekend with my favorite lady.
(Thanks mama bear for sending Christine to me!!!)
Just before Christine left, she also helped me shoot a video on my research!
The next weekend Chloe's boyfriend Freddie came to visit!!!
I finally had a waterproof camera to get some awesome underwater and cliff jumping pictures!
(Shout out to my momma again for also sending the camera with Christine!!!)
And then this past weekend the lovely Elizabeth came to Bermuda!
We snorkeled around Whalebone bay, where Gabe FINALLY saw the squid!
They are amazing animals that literally change colors in seconds to camouflage to their environment.
Chloe, me, Michael, and Gabe before the first tropical storm, Fay.

After the storm, we all put on our Team Zissou red hats and wondered around campus picking up the fallen coconuts and star fruit.

I should also probably clarify, I did do a lot of work over these weeks.
But luckily my work is practically play.
In conclusion: I love coral research, I never want to leave Bermuda, and I am so excited for the rest of my time here!
